From the beginning, community service and engagement have been a deep commitment in Central Ohio. Our team provides pro bono services, serves as community volunteers, and holds leadership roles with key community organizations and groups dedicated to upholding the highest standards of professionalism in the legal field.
At the national, regional, and state levels, community organizations served include Tiffany Circle National Council of the American Red Cross, the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Scouting America, Legal Aid Society of Columbus, Central Ohio American Red Cross, and She Has a Name. Attorneys and staff have also served as board members and in other capacities for the following professional, business, and civic organizations: the Association of Ohio Commodores, Energy & Mineral Law Foundation, the OSHA Sub-Committee for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, the Mount Carmel Foundation and the Mount Carmel Health System Governing Board, Columbus State Community College, and the Columbus Rotary Club. Additionally, the office supports many charitable organizations in the area, including participation in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, an annual coat drive for the YMCA Van Buren Emergency Center, volunteering at LifeCare Alliance, and a holiday food drive for the Lutheran Social Services.
As part of the firm’s commitment to the betterment of the legal profession, members of the firm have held national and state leadership positions within the American Bar Association (ABA), including serving as the chair of the ABA Section of Business Law and service on the ABA Board of Governors. Attorneys have also served on the Board of Governors of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) and as Section Chair of the OSBA. Additionally, our attorneys are members of the Ohio Women’s Bar Association (OWBA) and have previously served as President of the OWBA.
