Firm Welcomes New Director of Recruiting and Professional Development

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is pleased to welcome Heather L. Cavanagh to the firm’s leadership as its Director of Recruiting and Professional Development.  Cavanagh will oversee the firm’s attorney recruitment program including formation and implementation of recruiting strategies and candidate selection as well as acting as liaison to law schools and career services offices across the country.  She will also develop and implement firm wide professional development and training programs.

Cavanagh joins the firm after serving as Managing Director for RPN Executive Search where she worked with companies and law firms nationwide to recruit and place attorneys.  She was previously the Legal Recruiting Manager for Seyfarth Shaw LLP where she managed attorney recruiting for two of the firm’s offices and worked closely with firm leadership on all aspects of recruitment.  She also served as the Manager of Lateral Recruitment for Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP.

Cavanagh earned her master’s degree from New York University and her undergraduate degree from Bates College.
