For the fourth year in a row, Steptoe & Johnson has been named the recipient of the ?Law Firm Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Representation of West Virginians.? The ?Kaufman Pro Bono Award? is awarded by the members of the Pro Bono Referral Project, a program coordinated by Legal Aid of West Virginia.

?Philanthropy continues to be of paramount interest to our firm,? began Sherri S. Whalen, Pro Bono Coordinator for Steptoe & Johnson. ?Our attorneys and staff are enthusiastic and committed regarding their service to society, and we see it as our duty to work diligently to improve lives. Once again, we are honored to receive this award, and we look forward to continuing our work in the community,? Whalen said.
The ?Kaufman Pro Bono Award? was presented during the annual meeting of the West Virginia State Bar.
