Biography

Devon Stewart is a walking encyclopedia of creative and unique solutions for his clients. Litigating in a variety of industries, Devon spends his time solving problems and providing solutions, usually involving unique areas of the law. Most recently, he has been part of the national defense team representing a large pharmaceutical distributor defending lawsuits by state and county officials and agencies making claims about opioid distribution. Devon has experience in the energy sector, construction industry, pharmaceutical industry, and with complex commercial litigation.

Representative Experience

Counsel for Fortune 10 defendant in more than 1,500 opioid lawsuits in state and federal courts nationwide
Prevailed before the WV Surface Mine Board regarding violation for alleged methane ignition at for related to mine subsidence claim
Won at the WV Supreme Court of Appeals in statutory medical records cases by challenging the standing of the plaintiff
Successfully defended client against claims of contamination of residential water supply on appeal before the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia
Obtained summary judgment in defamation case involving accused shoplifter at a retail location
Defended large cemetery management company on premises liability, negligence, and personal injury claims
