Biography

Andrew Martinez focuses his practice in business and has experience in property law and has represented property owners’ associations in litigation matters including enforcement of deed restrictions and assessment collection. For his clients, he has also drafted and amended bylaws, policies, rules, and regulations so that property owners’ associations comply with state and federal law.

Representative Experience

  • Assisted clients with preparation of governing documents in order to ensure compliance with state and federal law
  • Provided general counsel to residential property owners associations in all aspects of corporate governance
  • Advised multiple association clients on best practices related to legislative and statutory changes in Texas
  • Advised client on the Fair Housing Act requirements and reasonable accommodations for Emotional Support Assistance Animals, including farm animals, domesticated animals, and wild animals
  • Represent homeowners associations in conflict resolution, crisis management, and dealing with difficult personalities
  • Advise clients on architectural review, compliance, and resolving disputes between associations and homeowners
  • Represented mixed-use developer as a Plaintiff in a litigation matter involving illegal diversion of water from neighboring residential developers
  • Advised association in a dispute involving interpretation of multiple pedestrian access easements that provided residents access to greenbelt areas
