Labor & Employment Attorneys Jim Birch and Angela Stockbridge Join Steptoe & Johnson’s Collin County Office

Dallas, TX – James (Jim) H. Birch and Angela M. Stockbridge have joined the Collin County office of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC. Birch joins the firm as a Member and Stockbridge joins as Of Counsel. Both have joined the firm’s Labor and Employment Department.

Birch has an extensive background representing business clients in all aspects of labor and employment law and business litigation. With a practice spanning more than 40 years, he has assisted businesses in a variety of industries, including outsourcing, information technology, insurance, health care, hospitality, manufacturing, retail and wholesale, transportation, media, professional services, banking, and construction. He received his law degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law Fayetteville and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas.

Stockbridge has significant experience counseling clients on sophisticated employee benefits matters. She has a background in advising employers on compliance and corrective measures with governmental agencies, designing equity incentive plans for private and public companies, and negotiating executive employment agreements. Her previous experience includes working in-house at a multinational technology corporation and a multinational telecommunications company where she focused on legal compliance for health and retirement benefits and served as a benefits consultant. She earned her law degree from Cornell Law School and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
