CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is pleased to announce the return of Roger Nicholson to its Energy & Natural Resources Department. Nicholson will be Of Counsel, supporting clients in energy sector transactions, and will work from the firm’s Charleston and Lexington offices.

Formerly serving as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel, and Secretary to Alpha Metallurgical Resources, Nicholson is a trusted advisor to major energy companies. His experience includes guiding clients on acquisitions and divestitures, commercial transactions, negotiating supply agreements, commercial disputes and arbitration, mineral title matters, and public offerings.
Nicholson received his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown College and his law degree from the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenburg College of Law.
