Justin K. Chandler Joins Steptoe & Johnson Charleston Office

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Justin K. Chandler has joined the Litigation Department of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC as an Associate. Chandler’s legal practice will focus on business and general litigation matters.

Prior to joining Steptoe & Johnson, Chandler practiced for a Charleston-based firm where he represented clients before federal and state regulatory agencies. He was responsible for drafting documents including pleadings, appellate briefs, contracts, and memorandums of law. He also conducted research and devised strategies to achieve the best outcomes for his clients.

Chandler served as an operations specialist with Alpha Natural Resources before pursuing his legal career. In that role he identified ways to safely improve productivity and ensure regulatory compliance, took corrective action to decrease the likelihood of accidents, and developed company- wide cost-saving strategies.

Chandler earned his law degree from West Virginia University College of Law, his master’s degree from the University of Charleston, and his bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University.
