Ninth Annual Black & Gold Gala

Jointly sponsored by West Virginia State University and the WVSU Foundation, the Black & Gold Gala is the University’s signature event celebrating State’s profound contribution to the region and those who make it possible. All proceeds from the Black & Gold Gala benefited the WVSU Foundation to support the University’s students and programs.

The Ninth Annual Black & Gold Gala will be held April 14th, 2023 at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center. This year we have the special opportunity to honor Ericke S. Cage, 13th President of West Virginia State University on the occasion of his inauguration. We will also honor four outstanding leaders and supporters: Mr. Robert F. Smith, Mr. Allan L. McVey, Dr. Ann Brothers Smith, and The Honorable Reggie B. Walton.
