Austin focuses his practice on natural resources, administrative law, and real property matters. He assists clients with a variety of complex oil and gas litigation and regulatory issues, lease interpretations, federal oil and gas leases and transfers, and resolving title issues.
In law school, Austin was a research assistant and served as a law clerk for the U.S. federal government in both counsel and enforcement offices. Additionally, he earned the Energy, Environmental, and Natural Resources Law and Policy Certificate as part of his law school education program strengthening his knowledge in natural resources law. After earning his law degree, Austin shifted to the private sector issuing title opinions and division orders for a large title firm in the Rocky Mountain region, with projects spanning lands across four states.
