Ben M. Bongutu Jr.

Biography

As a civil litigation attorney, Ben is familiar with managing a heavy litigation caseload. He has managed over 100 civil litigation cases  involving construction defects, premises liability, and personal injury, and has litigated two civil jury trials to verdict. Ben prides himself on working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure quality representation of all clients.

Ben has drafted pleadings in nursing home negligence and medical malpractice cases, and is experienced in conducting legal research, establishing client relationships, and drafting memos for use in dispositions.

Previously, as a Deputy District Attorney in Arapahoe County, Colorado, Ben litigated 15 criminal jury trials to verdict as the first chair attorney. He is experienced in evidentiary hearings, conducting over 125 of them regarding the U.S. and Colorado Constitutions, statutory provisions, and Colorado Rules of Criminal Procedure. In this position, Ben managed a docket of over 400 cases by negotiating case resolution with pro se defendants and criminal defense attorneys.
