Biography
Chuck Hudson focuses his practice on the intersection between energy, oil and gas, renewables, and commercial real estate law. With his service as a closing attorney and title agent for over 500 real estate acquisitions in West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky, and his experience in some of the most difficult counties the Appalachian Basin has to offer, Chuck has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the rapidly evolving energy industry and how they are overcome.
Chuck is passionate about providing guidance to clients in the energy sector as an active member of the firms Division Order practice, specializing in complex title examination and the proper payment of royalties pursuant to leasehold agreements.
With his background in title insurance, real estate closings, and estates and trusts, Chuck is well-suited to guide energy clients through issues and challenges surrounding the purchase, ownership, and sale of real estate assets.

- Coordinated and lead a team of over 30 title examiners relating to the development of Marcellus and Utica shale plays
- Drafted over 500 certified drilling opinions for clients in the Marcellus and Utica shale plays
- Served as counsel for buyers in multiple commercial real estate transactions exceeding $2,000,000.00
