Robert Willis

Biography

Rob is a litigation attorney who focuses his practice on representing oil and gas clients before regulatory bodies on a variety of issues.

Rob led the Colorado regulatory practice groups for two law firms where he obtained field development authority and pooled interests for a variety of projects on behalf of operators. He also assists clients facing the imposition of rule violations before regulatory authorities.

Before pursuing a career in law, Rob worked as an engineer where he gained valuable experience in drilling, completion, production, and property evaluation in the San Juan and Anadarko basins. With his engineering background, Rob has a deep understanding of energy-related legal matters and real-world issues that face oil and gas clients.

In addition, Rob worked at the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) as their Hearings Manager, Enforcement Officer, and Hearing Officer and was on staff through numerous rulemakings, including the 2007-2008 comprehensive redraft of COGCC rules.
