Biography

David Hotchkiss focuses his practice on Pennsylvania oil and gas real estate title work and general legal services directed to serving clients in the oil and gas industry. He has practiced in the areas of general litigation, estate planning and probate, general real estate, transactions, and business formation and counseling.  Mr. Hotchkiss is the Managing Member of the firm's Meadville office.

Key Experience

Expanded the exclusion from real estate taxation for equipment, machinery, and tools of industry in an action before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court
Served as solicitor for several townships, boroughs and authorities in matters which included zoning, land use planning, government regulation of construction and surface water drainage for thirty years
Successful representation of the owner of lumber kilns in a real estate tax appeal to the state supreme court which resulted in the exemption of certain equipment from local real estate tax
