The Overbrook Environmental Education Center is hosting a three-day symposium at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University and Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia, PA, from October 17-19, 2024. This event will bring together community-based organizations (CBOs), frontline communities, and resource-challenged organizations seeking technical assistance and funding support from environmental and climate experts, government agencies, and philanthropic funders.
Attendees will gain valuable insights on how to apply for grant funding, access IRA-funded projects, and receive support from Grantmakers and the EJ Thriving Community Technical Assistance Centers (TCTAC). Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with local agencies offering capacity-building resources.
This symposium is particularly significant as it marks the official launch of the Greater Philadelphia area hub for the Mid-Atlantic EPA TCTAC. Don’t miss this chance to be part of a groundbreaking initiative and movement toward environmental justice and community empowerment.
Steptoe & Johnson’s Samantha Phillips Beers will be a panelist for the Women’s Plenary. The panel presentation is entitled, “Demonstrating the Power to Transform Environment, Health, & Community!”
