Preparing Clients for the Federal Estate Tax Exemption Sunset

Presented by the Allegheny County Bar Association Probate and Trust Law Section, this program will review key planning strategies for clients who may be subject to federal estate taxes following the scheduled exemption sunset in 2025. Topics to be discussed include:

• Review of the nuts and bolts of the “use it or lose it” approach to estate planning
• Review of upcoming and potential legislative changes and public policy following the sunset
• Conversations on pre-sunset and post-sunset planning with clients
