Biography

Jim Tartaglia concentrates his practice in the area of energy and natural resources law. Mr. Tartaglia regularly assists clients with a variety of their transactional needs, including mineral title and due diligence, corporate and securities matters, and oil and gas lending.

Representative Experience

Coordinated due diligence and prepared transactional documents for large mineral asset acquisitions and divestitures
Advised operators and non-operators in negotiating and performing under various title and operational contracts, including mineral leases, joint operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and non-disclosure agreements
Drafted drilling and division order title opinions for mineral properties in Colorado and West Virginia
Advised energy companies on various corporate and securities matters, including assistance with private placements and an array of SEC compliance needs (1934 Act periodic reports, Reg. D offerings, Sec. 16 disclosures, etc.)
Assisted institutional and private lenders with documentation and due diligence, primarily with oil and gas collateral packages
