LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is pleased to announce that Amy Sullivan Cahill has been promoted to Member. She joined the firm’s Louisville office in March 2021 and established and leads the intellectual property (IP) practice.

Cahill has nearly 25 years of experience in the areas of trademark licensing, trademark and copyright infringement litigation, advertising law, and software license review. She has served as lead counsel in litigation involving infringement claims for visual art, celebrity likenesses, and software. She is a former adjunct professor for the George Mason University Law Center and developed the University of Kentucky College of Law’s first intellectual property drafting seminar course.
Cahill earned her law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law, her LL.M. in Intellectual Property from George Washington University Law School, and her bachelor’s degree from The University of the South.
