PITTSBURGH – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC attorney Maureen Sweeney has been selected as a Hearing Committee member on the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Sweeney joins a distinguished group of attorneys who volunteer in this important role in Pennsylvania’s disciplinary system.
Sweeney is serving District IV, covering western Pennsylvania, and is asked to conduct hearings and act as a formal representative to report facts, legal conclusions, and determine if cases should pursue specific disciplinary action. Her appointment will take effect July 1, 2024, and will expire June 30, 2027, after which she will be eligible to serve a second three-year term.
