Second regional program is September 10-11
CANONSBURG, PA – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC will hold its 2013 Energy Leadership Summit on September 10-11 at the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe in Canonsburg, Pa. This two day event will give energy industry professionals an in-depth look at recent oil and gas developments as well as legal issues in shale exploration and production. This is the second of three Summits to be held in the Appalachia, Mid-continent and Southwest regions of the United States.
Attorneys from each of the firm’s 14 offices will discuss a host of issues crucial to the energy industry including:
- Trends in energy transactions
- Crafting litigation-resistant mineral title
- Trends in energy litigation
- Pooling and unitization
- Environmental concerns associated with oil and gas development
- Opportunities and challenges in international energy
What’s more, a session on ethics for land professionals has been added to the agenda, and West Virginia University energy law professor Joshua Fershee will join the “Industry from 50,000 Feet” expert panel on September 10.
