BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Steptoe & Johnson has been recognized as one of the “Best Companies to Work For: Law Firms” by U.S. News & World Report. The publication looked at law firms and how well they support their employees with a number of metrics including quality of pay and benefits, work-life balance, professional development, and physical and psychological comfort.

Other factors, including job and company stability and belongingness and esteem were considered into the ranking. Researchers looked at data from Revelio Labs and Leopard Solutions along with publicly available information, including company websites and employee disclosures on platforms like LinkedIn and Glassdoor to calculate their scores. Each metric was weighted differently, with quality of pay and benefits and job and company stability rated as most important in the law firm category.

Overall, Steptoe & Johnson ranked highest in the areas of quality of pay and benefits, and career and professional development. The firm also scored well in work life balance, stability, and belongingness. The workplace ranking reflects the firm’s commitment to its Core Values.
