Steptoe & Johnson’s Britt Freund named EMLF President

Canonsburg, PA – Britt Freund, an attorney in Steptoe & Johnson PLLCs Southpointe office, was named President of the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation (EMLF) during the organization’s 44^th Annual Institute that was held in Charleston, SC. During his one-year term as President, Mr. Freund will chair the Executive Committee and work closely with the organization’s Executive Director on programming, operations, and outreach.

Mr. Freund concentrates his practice on mineral and renewable energy law and represents energy producers, developers, and financial institutions with real property development, mineral and renewable energy production and sales, and finance transactions. He is also the Assistant Group Leader for the firm’s Energy Transactions Practice Group and leads the firm’s Renewable Energy Team.

EMLF is a national nonprofit educational organization that fosters the study of the laws and regulations related to natural resource development and energy use. They are an Accredited Provider of Mandatory Continuing Legal Education programs, AAPL, and other professional recertification credits.
